This year every Friday the year 7 and 8's have Toanga time. What is Taonga Time you might ask?. Well Taonga means treasure in Maori. We do this so we can learn about different passions of our teachers.The groups that we have for Taonga Time are Team Building, Art, Sports, Kapa Haka, Science and Music. The group that I am in at the moment is Team Building. We do Team Building with a teacher called Mr Barks. Sometimes we go out on the field and do some activities and how to work as a team.
I feel really happy because I love to work in a team and to be in a group with a wonderful teacher. I can not wait for our next Taonga Time.
